College Loans |
| College
loans are classified in two categories,
Federal and Private loans. Federal loans
are commonly know as Stafford loans, PLUS
and Grad Plus Loan, and the federal loan
consolidation program upon graduating. A
private loan is a credit based college student
loan offered by well known companies. Private
student loans allow you to borrow larger
yearly amounts (sometimes up to $40,000
a year) and these funds are sent directly
to the you. This is different from the Federal
Stafford and PLUS Loan, where funds are
directed to the college or university for
you to sign over and apply toward your balance
due to the school. Please note the all loans,
regardless of what type, MUST BE REPAID.
